Jay Jambeck has 13 years of experience in a diverse range of litigation. Prior to joining the Leigh Law Group full time as a partner in 2011, Jay was of counsel at an AV-rated firm in San Francisco where he practiced business litigation on general and complex business litigation matters. During that same time, Jay was of counsel at the Leigh Law Group litigating civil rights, disability, employment and general litigation matters. Jay has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer in business litigation in 2010 and as a rising star in 2009.
In 2011, Jay decided to shift his focus more intensely to civil rights and disability litigation, but maintains a business litigation practice in addition.
Jay graduated, with honors, in 1997 from the University of Florida College of Law and was a senior editor on the Florida Law Review.
Notable cases:
Jay was lead counsel in a complex business litigation matter brought by a co-founder of a Silicon Valley company against former directors and officers of the company with respect to allegations of breach of fiduciary duties relating to a merger transaction. The matter settled for in excess of $1.5 million.
Litigated a multi-state business litigation matter for breach of fiduciary duties against minority shareholders.
Obtained a judgment in excess of $1 million for clients subject to securities fraud.
Obtained a judgment for breach of contract for a client after a 21-day jury trial in San Francisco.
